Landcare and Land Management Groups

 

The MMLAP works closely with and supports landcare and land management groups within the Murray Mallee region. These landcare and land management groups involve landholders working together to complete coordinated fox and rabbit baiting programs and various other on-ground works. Altogether these groups cover hundreds of thousands of hectares each year with their baiting programs.

 

 

Mantung Maggea Land Management Group Inc

The Mantung Maggea Land Management Group Inc (MMLMG) is a group of landholders within the Mantung Maggea area who work together to complete coordinated rabbit and fox baiting programs, and rabbit warren ripping. The MMLMG also aim to protect and enhance the local Malleefowl population.

 

The MMLMG have regular meetings at the Mantung  Hall.

Browns Well Landcare Group

The Browns Well  Landcare Group is a group of landholders in the Browns Well area who work  together to complete coordinated rabbit, fox and feral animal control programs.

Friends of Karoonda Nature Park

The Friends of Karoonda Nature Park is a group of  local community residents who look after the Karoonda Nature Park. They meet  regularly in Karoonda to discuss activities that need to be undertaken to  protect and preserve the reserve.
